Bob Wheeler runs his family’s successful, highly-competitive sock company in Detroit with his widowed mother Dottie and his younger twin siblings, Christina and Douglas. When the stress of the job lands Bob in Woodward Memorial Hospital, due to a mild heart attack, he is immediately drawn to Abishola Adebambo, his kind, hardworking Nigerian nurse. Despite their differences, Bob falls in love with Abishola and sets his sights on getting her to give him a chance.

Episode 1: Bob, a middle-aged compression-sock businessman from Detroit, unexpectedly falls for his cardiac nurse, Abishola, a Nigerian immigrant, while recovering from a heart attack and sets his sights on winning her over.
Episode 2: While Bob waits for Abishola to make the next move, her Auntie Olu and Uncle Tunde make it hard for her by stalking him.
Episode 3: Bob attempts to learn more about Nigerian customs while Abishola has to contend with gossip spreading about her relationship with Bob.
Episode 4: After Abishola calls off things with Bob, her Auntie Olu sets her up with a Nigerian pharmacist, and Bob tries online dating.
Episode 5: After Abishola has a romantic dream about Bob, she tries to suppress her feelings for him and pays the price.
Episode 6: Bob and Abishola finally go on a proper date, which is interrupted by Dottie’s medical emergency.
Episode 7: Bob hires Abishola to take care of Dottie in his home while she recovers. Also, Dottie has a hard time dealing with her limitations and takes it out on Abishola.
Episode 8: With Abishola only helping part-time, Bob, Douglas and Christina struggle to take care of Dottie.
Episode 9: After Abishola gives her previous suitor, Chukwuemeka (Tony Tambi), a Nigerian pharmacist, a second chance, Uncle Tunde goes behind Auntie Olu’s back to warn Bob about the other man who’s courting his niece.
Episode 10: Bob must gain the confidence to fight for Abishola when she goes on another date with Chukwuemeka. Also, Uncle Tunde finds an unlikely friend in Dottie in the aftermath of his fight with Auntie Olu.
Episode 11: Bob, Douglas and Christina try to get Dottie to make a will. Also, Abishola and Kemi’s friendship is tested after Abishola catches Kemi in a lie.
Episode 12: While Bob and Abishola struggle to pull Dottie out of her depression, Auntie Olu and Uncle Tunde come over to lift her spirits.
Episode 13: Abishola doesn’t appreciate it when Bob gives her unsolicited parenting advice about her “unhappy son”.
Episode 14: Excited by her physical therapy progress, Dottie insists she is ready to return to MaxDot, much to the dismay of Bob, Douglas and Christina.
Episode 15: On Valentine’s Day, when it comes to showing affection, Bob and Abishola have to find a way to meet each other in the middle.
Episode 16: Dottie, Auntie Olu and Uncle Tunde must find a way to reconcile when they’re forced to eat dinner together. Also, Bob and Abishola have differing opinions on the progress of their relationship.
Episode 17: Abishola takes her relationship with Bob to the next level when she invites him into an intimate part of her life: church. Also, Kemi fights with Ogechi to be Chukwuemeka’s favorite.
Episode 18: Bob’s past and present collide when his ex-wife, Lorraine, is admitted to Abishola’s hospital. Also, Christina recruits Kofo for a project to rename the sock colors.
Episode 19: Abishola must draw the line when Bob’s ex-wife tries to maneuver her way back into Bob’s life; Goodwin is concerned when Christina sets her romantic sights on Kofo.
Episode 20: Dottie makes an unexpected connection when she meets a fellow stroke survivor at physical therapy; Bob and Douglas try to keep tabs on Christina while she’s away at an emotional wellness spa.
