Following his passion, he pursued a career as a journeyman carpenter after high school while also serving as a proud member of the Stettler Fire Department in Alberta.
His dedication paid off, and he achieved the esteemed position of Captain.
In 2010, the family relocated to Chilliwack, where Ben was hired full-time with the Surrey Fire Department, forging deep bonds with fellow firefighters, who became his second family.
