OAP Dotun and activist Rinu clash on X after he said protesters pushed the police to fire teargas at them at Mohbad’s memorial (video)

OAP Dotun and activist Rinu clashed on X in the early hours of today September 22, after he said those that attended Mohbad’s memorial in Lagos and refused to leave, pushed police officers to fire teargas at them.

According to Dotun, the candlelight procession and tribute night had ended and people were asked to go home afterwards. However, some went to converge at the Lekki tollgate.

A video he retweeted showed the police begging those that converged at the Lekki tollgate to go home, however, they refused.

Dotun said their refusal prompted the officers to make use of teargas so as to disperse the crowd.

However, Rinu in her reaction argued that the police had no justification to fire teargas at the attendees.
