Nigerian Senators on Tuesday, March 5, put the commencement of their sitting on hold for a moment over the unavailability of power supply in the red chamber in Abuja.

Power was later restored and the lawmakers converged in their chamber to begin the day’s plenary session.

Recall that the Abuja Electricity Distribution PLC in February threatened to disconnect the electricity supply of 86 Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) over a total debt of N47.1bn.
