Journalist Colin Udoh calls for withdrawal of accreditation from journalists over their 'unprofessional' behavior at the AFCON (video)

Nigerian journalist and sports commentator, Colin Udoh has called for the withdrawal of accreditation from journalists over their ‘’unprofessional” behavior at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Mr. Udoh accused Ghanaian journalists of hurling abusive words at their players following their disqualification from the tournament. He also accused Cameroonian journalists of misbehaving in the Media tribune after Nigeria eliminated them in the round of 16 tie.

In the same post, the sports commentator shared an embarrassing video of an Ivorien journalist going unclad and trying to dry hump a camera stand following their victory over defending champions, Senegal last night.

Ghana journalists abusing players in the Mixed Zone, Cameroon journalists misbehaving in the Media Tribune and now this Ivorien journalist going unclad in the Media Tribune and trying to dry hump a camera stand.

All very disgraceful and unprofessional conduct in a professional working area.

I have had a chat with @caf_online_official Media Leadership about taking action up to and including withdrawing credentials and throwing so-called journalists out of the stadium if they cannot maintain professional decorum. CAF tried to say it is an @aipsmedia responsibility. I disagree. CAF owns the competition and, for the duration of the tournament, they also own the venues. They make the rules, issue the credentials and run the Media Operations.

This is totally on @caf_online to regulate the behaviour of these individuals with warnings and up to revoking their credentials if need be.

Be that as it may I have also spoken to AIPS Africa and I have been assured that they are just as unhappy about the disgraceful behaviour of these journalists and will be writing officially to CAF to take action.
