Suresh Narayan Dhanorkar, also known as Balubhau Dhanorkar, was a recently elected member of the Lok Sabha representing the Chandrapur constituency.
Dhanorkar was affiliated with the Indian National Congress political party. Notably, he was the sole candidate from the Indian National Congress to be elected as a Member of Parliament from Maharashtra.
Before becoming a Lok Sabha candidate, Dhanorkar had resigned from the position as a Member of the Legislative Assembly from the Shiv Sena party and subsequently joined the Indian National Congress.

Balu Dhanorkar’s health in 2023 was notably impacted by his treatment for kidney stones. According to reports, he had been undergoing treatment for this condition for approximately one week.
Initially, he was admitted to a hospital in Nagpur, Maharashtra, for medical care related to his kidney stones.
However, due to the severity of Balu’s condition or the need for specialized treatment, he was subsequently transferred to a hospital in New Delhi, the capital city of India.
Balasaheb Thorat, a prominent Congress leader, confirmed these details.
The decision to shift Dhanorkar to a hospital in New Delhi indicates the importance of providing him with advanced medical facilities and specialized care.
Unfortunately, Balu Dhanorkar’s health deteriorated despite treatment, leading to his untimely demise.
The specifics regarding the progression of his condition during his hospitalization and the exact cause of his passing may not be publicly available.

Balu Dhanorkar Death Cause And Obituary
Dhanorkar, the only Lok Sabha member from Maharashtra representing the Congress party, passed away at a private hospital in the National Capital Region early on Tuesday morning.
Dhanorkar was 47 and survived by his wife Pratibha, an MLA, and their two sons.
According to Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat, Dhanorkar was initially admitted to a hospital in Nagpur last week to treat kidney stones.
However, he was later shifted to a hospital in New Delhi due to complications. Sadly, despite efforts, he could not survive.
Dhanorkar, who represented the Chandrapur constituency in the Lok Sabha, had undergone treatment for kidney stones in Nagpur on May 26.
After experiencing complications, he was urgently transferred to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, adjacent to Delhi.
The body of Mr. Dhanorkar will be flown to his hometown, Warora, later in the day, and the last rites will be conducted the following morning.
It is worth noting that Dhanorkar’s father, Narayan Dhanorkar, passed away in Nagpur on Saturday evening after a prolonged illness, and due to his hospitalization, Balu Dhanorkar could not attend his father’s final rites on Sunday.
Shashi Tharoor, a Congress Member of Parliament (MP), expressed his condolences following the demise of Suresh Narayan Dhanorkar.
He noted that Dhanorkar’s death marks the second loss of a Congress MP during the 17th Lok Sabha.
Tharoor extended his sympathies to the family and loved ones of the departed MP, concluding his tweet with the phrase “Om Shanti,” which signifies peace.
Dhanorkar initially entered politics as a member of the Shiv Sena party led by Balasaheb Thackeray in the Chandrapur district. He achieved success by winning the assembly election in 2014.
Adding to their political achievements, Dhanorkar’s wife also secured victory in the 2019 elections, winning from the Warora-Bhadrawati assembly seat.
