My salary for this month is N50,000 – Nigerian soldier laments after being unable to pay his transport fare to go see his family

A video of a Nigerian soldier lamenting about his poor remuneration has made the rounds on social media. 

In the video, the soldier revealed he earns N50,000 a month. He said he just left the ‘’bush” and was about to go see his family, but was told transportation to and from his place would cost N70,000. The soldier said he had to turn back to the ‘’bush” to continue with work because of the high cost of transportation.
