“I had nothing to do with his death whatsoever” Naira Marley speaks about Mohbad’s demise in new interview (video)

Naira Marley, whose real name is Azeez Fashola, has made it clear that he is innocent of the accusations being levelled against him following the death of his former signee Mohbad.
Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, aka Mohbad, died on Sept 12, 2023, at the age of 27. Following his death, many pointed fingers at his former label boss Naira Marley and also at Sam Larry. Both were accused of bullying him and physically assaulting him multiple times.
Speaking during a chat with Reno Omokri, Naira Marley denied having a hand in Mohbad’s death.
When Reno asked if he played a part in Mohbad’s death, Naira said: “No, definitely not.”
He added: “I’ve been out of Nigeria from the 31st of August. I’ve been with my family up to date. I haven’t been to Nigeria.”
Naira added: “He’s left Marlian music since. We have not stopped him from dropping music or anything… So when I heard about his death it was shocking to me. I was out of the country as well.”
Naira Marley continued: “If you’re blaming me, how did I kill him? I have nothing to do with his death whatsoever. I was so hurt when I heard myself.”
