Aziza Development Foundation Partners with Fountain of Grace Ministries On Financial Literacy In Ibadan
The Aziza Development Foundation, in collaboration with Fountain of Grace Ministries, held its third impactful financial literacy session at the Fountain of Grace Church auditorium on Holy Trinity Road, Ibadan as the event follows successful sessions in Laniba and Odeda communities, aiming to uplift women through essential financial education.
The foundation’s Project Manager and Program Officer Truben Adedamola expressed gratitude for the journey so far, noting the fulfilling progress and positive reception from participants.
Despite not meeting all targets as expected, Adedamola emphasized the foundation’s commitment to reaching as many women as possible, focusing on equitable, tailored interventions for low-income households, nano and micro-entrepreneurs.
He highlighted the importance of continued efforts to ensure the sustainability of intervention plans and called for collaboration from individuals and corporate organizations. “We need financial backing, volunteering, and innovative ideas to elevate our mission,” he stated.
In her own words, the event’s convener, Pastor Mrs. Titilola Adebara of Fountain of Grace Ministries, explained that the event was organized to provide women with the requisite information and education to achieve financial freedom and thanked the Aziza Development Foundation for partnering with her ministry.
During the event, Mr. Adeyemi Ademuyiwa, Southwest Regional Coordinator from Budgit Nigeria, stressed the critical role women play in economic development, encouraging the women to make their voices heard and engage their government on key issues like health, water, and power, which are vital for their personal and economic stability. “Your stability is essential for economic progress,” Ademuyiwa declared.
One of the Facilitators Mrs. Joy Roberts educated the women on saving, record-keeping, and budgeting. She explained how women can implement simple business record-keeping techniques irrespective of their literacy levels.
Attendees, including Mrs. Gbuyiro Tabitha and Mrs. Oyedokun Monilola, shared their key takeaways. While Mrs. Tabitha noted the importance of consistent budgeting, saving, and collaborating with other women for financial freedom, Mrs. Monilola expressed enthusiasm for applying the lessons learned to her life and praised the foundation for its efforts.
The Aziza Development Foundation continues to inspire women across rural and urban communities, driving financial literacy and economic resilience, and sought financial support, volunteers, and innovative ideas from individuals and corporate organizations to further their mission and expand their reach.
