
Mexican-Kenyan actress, Lupita Nyong’o has shared some of the messages of support she has received since her breakup.
The actress, 41, took to her Instagram Story to post words of encouragement people have shared with her since she announced her split with her now-ex, Selema Masekela.
The Oscar winner, who revealed she had ended her relationship with the television host after one year shared a series of quotes with the hashtag #HeartbreakHealing.
‘Let the healing begin,’ she wrote as she cited a motivational phrase from author R.H. Sin.

Nyong’o also quoted travel blogger Jessica Nabongo and wrote: ‘When we stand in our truth, it allows others to do the same. Sending love.’

‘Vulnerability is a superpower,’ she wrote, sharing a message from Georgia State Representative Inga Willis. ‘We lift you up with love, and assemble the sisterhood circle around your heart.’

Nyong’o also shared a message from digital artist Ergo Josh that read: ‘You’re leading so many women to freedom.
‘As you validate your own emotions others can follow suit,’ the quote continued. ‘She’s exactly right y’all. The depth of that pain is directly correlated to the depth of your love.’
The message also said: ‘Don’t suppress it or else you will suppress the love you can give to yourself and others simultaneously.

Lupita had been in a relationship with the TV host and sports commentator, 52, since 2022. He is also the co-founder of the surf apparel company Mami Wata.
Lupita’s breakup announcement came just hours after she was spotted looking cozy with actor Joshua Jackson at a Janelle Monae concert.
In the photos, Dawson’s Creek star Joshua, 45, who shares daughter Juno Rose Diana, three, with estranged wife Jodie Turner-Smith, 37, was seen looking close with Lupita at the Janelle Monae gig in LA.

Turner-Smith, whom Joshua married in 2019, filed for divorce on October 2, citing ‘irreconcilable differences.’
