A Tanzanian woman suffering from a rare condition called Hirsutism that causes her to grow facial hair, has openly shared her struggles.
The woman, identified as Elsie, has battled Hirsutism since childhood, enduring numerous challenges and societal judgments.
In an interview with Wasafi Media, she candidly discussed why men shy away from relationships with her due to misconceptions about her physical appearance.
The mother of one also shared how people often mistake her for transgender due to their lack of knowledge about her condition.

She revealed that men are afraid to pursue a relationship with her because they are uncomfortable, often questioning her femininity due to her facial hair.
Despite the prejudice she faces, Elsie has chosen to embrace her identity and believes that God created her uniquely for a purpose.
She concluded by stating that she is no different from other women and deserves acceptance and love.
According to her words,
“I accepted myself because it’s natural. I was given by God. But there are a lot of challenges that I do face. Some people think I am transgender, but I would like to clarify that I am a woman. I have been blessed with one daughter and I am just okay. Many people wonder when they see me because I look different, but I am just like any other woman. Men fear me and they go around asking my friends if I am a real woman or transgender.”
