UCL: What Pogba Told Me About Rashford – Mbappe

PSG’s Kylian Mbappe has revealed he is worried about the threat of Marcus Rashford due to Paul Pogba constantly raving about how ‘special’ the Manchester United player is.

Ahead of what is set to be a fierce clash between both Paris St. Germain and Manchester United in the first match of group H in the UEFA Champions League, Mbappe has revealed his fellow French national, Paul Pogba highly praises his teammate.

The last time both clubs met, Rashford scored a decisive injury-time penalty in the French capital to give the Old Trafford side an unlikely 3-1 win.

Solskjaer’s side overturned a first leg deficit of 2-0 becoming the first club in history to do such after losing with such magnitude at home.

Although Manchester United have not been in the Champions League since their run was ended by Barcelona in the next round, PSG on the other hand have been to the final but were thwarted by German side, Bayern Munich in the final.

They will now hope to win it this time but have a tough group on their hands, with United and RB Leipzig set to be the teams to give them something to think about.

‘[Rashford] is one of the most dangerous forward players in England,’ said Mbappe. ‘Paul Pogba has spoken about how special he is and he doesn’t talk about players in such a way often.

Speaking about the infamous penalty last time the two clubs faced off in the competition, the 21-year-old said,

‘When you take a penalty in that situation, how much practice you have put on the training ground doesn’t matter. It’s about confidence and he’s a player who plays with so much confidence.’

United will be without Harry Maguire, Eric Bailly, Jesse Lingard and Edinson Cavani for the fixture.
