The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to face the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in a highly-anticipated international friendly in Australia tomorrow, October 13, 2020.
The match, which is scheduled to kick off by 7pm Nigerian time will the 20th fixture between the two sides. Nigeria will look to recover from the upsetting 1-nill loss to Algeria on Friday as they step up preparations for the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.
Coach Gernot Rohr will be without three of his star midfielders. Oghenekaro Peter Etebo who picked up an injury last weekend while on duty with Galatasaray joins Leiceter City’s Wilfred Ndidi and Rangers midfielder, Joe Aribo on the injury table. The Super Eagles will also be without Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen who withdrew from the squad due to fears of Corona Virus in the Napoli squad.
The Tunisia camp, however, have no injury scares ahead of tomorrow. Coach Mondher Kebaier has a full strength squad to choose from ahead of the showdown at the Jacques Lemans Arena in Austria.
The 19 matches between these two sides across all competitions is not enough to separate them in the head-to-head chart as they stay even on wins and this could be the match that finally separates both Nigeria and Tunisia. Both sides have six victories apiece, with seven matches having ended in a stalemate.
