Both players are expected to have their medicals on Monday 5th October, 2020 which happens to be the transfer deadline day. Telles joins from Porto on a reported 20 million Euros fee while Edinson Cavani, who has been a free agent since his contract with Paris St-Germain ended, will earn around 200,000 Pounds weekly.
While they negotiate deals for top target Sancho, Manchester United have moved to agree a deal with both Telles and Cavani ahead of the October 5 transfer deadline. Cavani can still sign after the transfer deadline since he is a free agent. However, the deal must be done before then as that is also the deadline for Champions League registration.
The Mancunian giants remain locked in negotiations with Jadon Sancho who is there main transfer target. They are also actively pursuing a deal for Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele as a backup option.
Barca boss, Ronald Koeman was tight-lipped on the rumours but did suggest there would be incomings and outgoings on deadline day. Manchester United only want a loan deal for Dembele presumably due to his frightening injury record, but Barcelona want a permanent deal between 50-65 million Pounds.
If Dembele moves to Man United, it would mean Memphis Depay moves to the Camp Nou. Lyon’s Sporting Director has also confirmed Depay has “an agreement with Barca, and looks the most likely to leave.”
Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho has been absent from training as reports claim he is trying to force through a move. Dortmund claim his absence is not due to transfer and he merely has “respiratory illness”, which is not Corona virus.
