BREAKING NEWS: Paul Pogba Confirms Interest in Real Madrid Transfer

Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba has once again caused a stir amongst the fans of the club after reaffirming his desire to one day make a transfer move to Real Madrid. The Spanish giants are reportedly interested in him and the Frenchman wants to play under fellow Frenchman, Zinedine Zidane.

Prior to the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Pogba had announced that maybe “it is time to move” when quizzed about a reported move to Real Madrid. His agent, Mino Raiola did not help matters, being very vocal about his client’s interest in leaving United.

Pogba has now announced once again that it would be a dream to move to Real Madrid. The news comes at a very bad time when United are looking to steady a sinking boat.

The fans of the club are tired of the ownership of Glazers and the club Vice Chairman, Ed Woodward. There have been several evidences of incompetency which the fans are tired of with the just concluded transfer window highlighting some mediocrity behind the scenes.

Speaking to RMC Sport, the 27-year-old midfielder said, “Zidane? We all heard it, things were said. My reply? Yes, every footballer  would like to play at Real Madrid. It may be a dream. It’s a dream for me, why not one day?”

Pogba has a contract till June 2021, but the club hold an option to extend for a further year. He continued by reaffirming his commitment to the club and also revealing he has not been approached over a new contract.

“As I said, I’m in Manchester and I love my club. I’m performing in Manchester. I’m enjoying myself and I want to do everything to put the club back where it deserves to be. I’ll give my all, just like my teammates,” he said.

About his contract, he had this to say, “I think there will then be a time when the club will come to speak to me and maybe offer me something, or not. For now, nothing has happened. I can’t tell you something I don’t know.”

Pogba was in scintillating form for his country against Ukraine, chipping in with 3 assists as France put 6 past their fellow Europeans.
