The highly-anticipated clash between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury appears to have taken another interesting turn with latest reports coming from the British-Nigerian’s camp.
44-year-old retired American fighter, Mayweather was by the ringside during Joshua’s victory over Kubrat Pulev last December and he hopes to be in his corner this time again for his bout against Fury.
“I look forward to working with Joshua real soon, we talk all the time.
“It’s a very interesting fight. Anthony has a lot of experience and Tyson Fury as well has a lot of experience but with Anthony Joshua losing a fight [to Andy Ruiz Jr] , it helped him become stronger.
”I met Tyson Fury on a few occasions; he’s a great guy and very interesting. After the fight I like to see him sing… I haven’t seen him fight a lot of times.
The fight between Joshua and Fury has been agreed according to promoter, Eddie Hearn but the date and venue remains to be sorted out.
31-year-old Joshua is putting his WBA, IBF, and WBO belts on the line in order to become the unified heavyweight champion.
Fury also has eyes on Joshua’s titles and has been talking tough, claiming he will ‘smash’ Joshua in three rounds.
