Taliban arrests Nigerian man for alleged drug smuggling in Afghanistan; says he will be “intensely flogged” before deportation

Taliban authorities have arrested a Nigerian national for alleged drug smuggling in Afghanistan. 

The Taliban Public Relations Department announced the arrest on its social media handle on Saturday, September 16, 2023. 

According to the statement, the suspect will be intensely flogged before being deported to Nigeria via Kenya.
