The 15 Chinese medics brought to Nigerians to fight coronavirus have all tested negative after their compulsory 14-day quarantine.
The Health minister, Osagie Ehanire, explained that the Chinese can now proceed to provide medical supports in the fight against Covid-19 crisis.
The 15-man Chinese medical team’s arrival had earlier given rise to controversial theories as Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) vehemently rejected their coming to the country.
However, despite the kicking against the idea by the Federal government to invite Chinese medicals to help the country in the fight against the pandemic , the Chinese medics arrived in the nonetheless.
Following the completion of their mandatory 14-day quarantine, a 15-man Chinese medical team brought to Nigeria to fight Covid-19 has now tested negative to the pandemic.
Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Health, who made this known on Tuesday, April 28, said the Chinese medical expert can now proceed on the assignment that brought them to the country, The Nation reports.
The Chinese medicas, arrived in Abuja with 16-ton test kits, ventilators, disinfection machine, disposable medical masks, pills, infrared thermometer and other items as requested for by the federal government.
They later went into isolation where they spent fourteen days as stipulated by the federal government.
In a subsequent update, the health minister said the Chinese health officials tested negative and would be sharing experiential strategies of how their country curtailed the spread of the virus in order to help the country fight the pandemic.
