Nigerian Afrobeat icon, Victony has recounted his brutal challenge that nearly took his life before fame.
He made this disclosure during a recent episode of Tea with Tay audiovisual podcast hosted by Taymesan, where he detailed the heartbreaking ordeal that sampled a brutal auto crash.
According to the ‘Soweto’ crooner, he had been involved in an auto crash that left him in a coma and took the life of his close friend.
As disclosed by the Nigerian icon, he was astonished to wake up in the hospital after 4 days and watched his daddy narrate the brutal auto crash ordeal to him.
He also disclosed his displeasure with the complication of auto crash and further applauded self for being able to withstand the heated trauma related to it.
Victony recently had a break in his musical career to undergo another surgery which has left him in crutches lately.
His words:
“Just leaving the club, on our way back, I slept off. I was tired. That was like my first time outside up to that time. So, I slept off.”
“When I woke up, I was in the hospital with my dad. I was like ‘what’s happening?’. Because my parents didn’t know I was in Lagos. So, I was like ‘why is my dad here?’ And he told me I was out for like 3 or 4 days.”
“I heard that the impact was from the back like another car hit us. The driver and the other guy at the front they were totally fine. We were two at the back, two at the front. So, the one beside me [at the back] he died while I broke my legs”.
“I been in so much pain the last 2months, the type that makes you realize how much, life outside the hospital is a gift.
