Former American President, Barrack Obama has added Wizkid’s latest music ‘Smile’ to his summer playlist.
Barrack Obama announced it himself through a post on his social media page in which Wizkid joins other global stars like Beyonce, Megan Thee Stallion, J. Cole, Billie Eilish and many other artistes on the playlist.
This is the second time in a row that the former President’s playlist will include a Nigerian song after Rema’s ‘Iron Man’ and Burna Boy’s ‘Anybody’ made it last year.
Wizkid’s ‘Smile’ featured music star, H.E.R and in his announcement, Obama said:
“Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time listening to music with my family. I wanted to share some of my favorites from the summer—including songs from some of the artists at this week’s @DemConvention. Hope you enjoy it.”
Nigerian artistes keep getting international recognition and with Barrack Obama adding another Nigerian song to his playlist this is another win for the country and for Wizkid.
‘Smile’ was released on Wizkid’s 30th Birthday.
