The controversial musician was charged to court for contravening interstate traveling guidelines and was fined in a Mobile Court in Abuja.
Azeez Fashola, known popularly as Naira Marley was arraigned on Friday August 7, 2020 in an Abuja mobile court for violating COVID-19 protocols.
A four-count charge was filed against him by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) for hosting a concert in Jabi Lake Mall in Abuja, in clear violation of COVID-19 directives on June 13.
After the charges were read to him, he pleaded guilty and he was given a fine of N200,000 by the presiding judge.
His drive-by concert in June has been trailed by controversies and this is one of the blow-backs.
While the fine may be considered to be little to the musician, Naira Marley is leaving a trail of controversies to his name.
